85 ford ranger new clutch kit installed clutch slips?

just installed a brand new clutch kit in my 85 ford ranger.Slips in all the gears.When I put the transmission back on I did notice that it didn't slip in as easily as it should have.It felt like the throw-out bearing was trying to depress the fingers on the pressure plate.Now the clutch slips all the time.Could the throw-out bearing be held out because of air in the slave cylinder?This is the first time something happened like this.I know it is not the clutch kit or the flywheel or oil on the disk.Could it just need a new slave cylinder or bled.
