Difference between a Sprocket and Clutch?

a sprocket is a flat round metal wheel with small teeth all the way around It goes from the rear wheel where a large sprocket has a chain around it to a smaller sprocket that comes off a shaft from the transmission. A clutch has a basket, and inside of this there is a sieres of alternating metal discs with another disc with clutch material sandwiched in between it has springs the help apply the power from the engine to the transmisson when changing gears. you need to get some kind of a go kart book, or find a kit that tells you how to build one so you do it right the first time instead of wrong. The best way to learn is work with one system at a time until you know what it does and then go onto the next one. A lot depends on your aptitude and how good of a mechanic you will be. Some guys can eat, slieep and talk mechanics lierally, and will sleep in the garage on the floor with the car, if necessary to get if fixed in time for what ever race he is going to.
